Shot List

Location Lists

This is the house in which we filmed a variety of different scenes including shots from the Witch's house and Hansel and Gretel's house. It was a good location as it had a spacious garden and a kitchen over looking the garden whilst for the scene where Hansel & Gretel are playing, which was perfect for our over the shoulder shot. Since the house belonged to one of our group, it was an ideal location as we had no interruptions or problems to our filming.

This is Millbank bridge, this was used for the scenes where Hansel & Gretel are hiding from the witch and shots relating to this. We had to be careful as the bridge was over a stream, and for the shot of where Hansel & Gretel are hiding under the bridge we had to make sure they would not fall into the stream. We chose this particular location as it is quite dark and has quite a chilling atmosphere, required to make the scene effective, and since not many people come here it made the scenes look more professional.

This picture was also taken at Millbank, and was used for the shot of Hansel & Gretel running down the path. This particular location is effective as it is quite remote, and nobody else is there and to make the characters feel isolated, which is a common feature in many modern day horror films and will help to scare the audience. We didn't have any problems filming here as it is a public place, and because it is the middle of the counrtyside we expected no interruptions.

Here is where we filmed the Witch's house, we thought this would be an ideal location because the trees around it make it look sinister and the cobbled path makes it look traditional and aged. Also, since it is located in the counrtyside it fits in well with the chilling atmosphere we were trying to create.
