The Witch- Needs to look sinister as she is the main villain in the trailer. Primarily black clothing such black clothes, black boots and a black cloak.
Step Mother- Needs to look older and more mature. Stylish blouse and leggings.
Father- Checkered shirt to reflect on original story of the father being a woodcutter.

Hansel And Gretel character list
Hansel- The role of Hansel will be played by John Appleby. As a group we chose John for the role of Hansel as he has a considerable amount of experience in acting and currently attends drama college. We also considered how John would look acting out along side the actress playing the role of Gretel, and though they would both look well together. This is effective and is realistic in keeping to the original storyline of Hansel And Gretel, in which the two characters are brother and sister.
Gretel- The role of Gretel will be played by Lucy Cashman. We chose Lucy for the role of Gretel because she fits into how we imagined Gretel to look like.
The Witch- The role of The Witch will be played by Ashley Gallagher. We chose Ashley for the role of The Witch as we believed she would be realistic and effective in highlighting the horror genre of the trailer.
Step Mother- The role of the step mother will be played by Eleanor Loftus. We chose Elle for this particular role as she fits in to the description we imagined we imagined the step mother to have.
Father- The role of the father will be played by Daniel McDonald. We chose Danny for the role of the father as he fits into how we wanted the character to look like. Another reason we chose him for the role was because he was particulary keen to reflect on the "struggling relationship" between his character and the stepmother in the trailer, and how this effected the story of Hansel And Gretel.
Extra(s)- I will be playing the role of the only extra in the trailer. My character does not have a particularly important effect on the film and does not feature a lot in the trailer. However, he is shown being killed in the trailer, which reflects on the horror genre of the film and the more mature nature of our adaptation of Hansel And Gretel.
